Dr Rudy Zarate

Rudy Zarate, M.D.Doctors Rudy and Jocelyn Zarate established the Zarate Medical Group in San Antonio in March 2006. Prior to that, both were partners for five years at West Medical, Inc, in Massillon, Ohio.

Rudy obtained his Medical Degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Ediston, New Jersey, following a B.A. Degree in Biology from the University of Texas, Austin.

He was a resident and intern at the University Hospitals of Cleveland and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Canton, Ohio. He is board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and licensed by the State Medical Boards of Texas and Ohio.

Jocelyn Zarate, M.D.

Dr Jocelyn Zarate partnered at West Medical, Inc., in Massillon, Ohio, with her husband from 2001 through 2005. She was the Medical Director for the Hospitality House Extended Care Facility in Canton, Ohio, for five years.

Jocelyn speaks fluent Japanese. She obtained her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Ediston, New Jersey, where she was honored on the Dean's List, and received her BS in Biology and Psychiatry at the University of California, Irvine.

 

Anna Cavazos, M.D.

Dr. Anna Cavazos-Tobon joined Zarate Medical Group in September 2009 after taking some time to pursue other career interests.  Previously, she practiced at the Nix Alamo Heights for eight years.  Prior to moving to San Antonio she practiced at the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston.  She has maintained a consulting position at The University of the Incarnate Word, where she teaches physical exam to Registered Nurses seeking advanced degrees.  She has also taught Anatomy and Physiology as an adjunct instructor.

 

 

Rudy is on the Teaching Faculty for Internal Medicine at the Canton Medical Education Foundation Department of Internal Medicine.

She is board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and licensed by the State Medical Boards of Texas and Ohio.

 

Anna speaks fluent Spanish.  She obtained her Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, following a B.A. Degree in Biology from the University of Texas, Austin.

Her internship was completed at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas, and she also completed a fellowship in Infectious Disease. She was a resident at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, where she completed her training in Internal Medicine.  She is board certified be the American Board of Internal Medicine, and licensed by the State Medical Board in Texas.
